Perseverance to See It Through

Many of today’s cultural norms encourage instant gratification. Whether it’s the quick tap of a selfie on Instagram or lose-weight-fast diets, we seek the solution that offers success now rather than later. However, this pursuit for immediate success can be very detrimental in the long run. Success, despite the popular relief, is not a straight line. It’s a rollercoaster with many ups and downs. You will find bumps and delays along the way, but if you persevere, you will eventually reach your destination. The truth is that you are not going to reach success in one leap. There will be moments where you feel like giving up or wonder if you made the right choice. However, resilience is what separates the unsuccessful from the successful. The things worthwhile in life don’t come easy, and those who succeed are able to outlast the competition. It’s during these difficult times where you have to persevere and trust the process. Trust that every setback holds a valuable lesson and leaves you with a stronger mentality.
